Test 3

Voters casting early ballots in record numbers

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Polling places on November 3 might not be as crowded as usual, but that doesn't mean there isn't interest in the upcoming election.

At least 45 million Americans had cast early or mail-in ballots as of Thursday, a record number in advance of a presidential election.

Early “in-person” voting started in Massachusetts on October 17 and will be available through Friday, October 30.

Hours for early voting are Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon at town hall in North Attleboro.

Plainville residents can cast ballots this Saturday and Sunday, October 24th and 25th from noon to 4 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday at town hall.

Residents still have time to request absentee and mail-in ballots North Attleboro Election Commissioner Chris Kristeller told North TV.
