ARPA funds to target Plainville water & sewer projects

PLAINVILLE - Money from the federal government to help cities and towns battle the impacts of COVID-19 was one of the topics discussed Wednesday when Town Administrator Brian Noble and Select Chair Brian Kelly visited the North TV studio for a recording of the quarterly “Chairman’s Report” program.

The American Rescue Plan Act will provide $1.9 trillion in economic stimulus and is intended to help all facets of the economy, including local governments.

North Attleboro, for example, is expected to receive almost $8 million. Noble explained that the amount Plainville will receive is considerably less, yet still important to the town.
