NORTH ATTLEBORO - The 2024 edition of the Attleboro Area Golf Association Championship, affectionally known as the City Open to most local golfers, will be tee off two weeks from Thursday, August 15 at Foxboro Country Club, then move to Wentworth Hills Country Club on Friday, August 16, a reduced field of 50 and ties will advance to Heather Hills Country Club on Saturday, August 17 and the crowning of this year’s champion will take place after play at Norton Country Club on Sunday, August 18.
In addition to the awards ceremony that follows, AAGA scholarships will be awarded to three recent graduates from the area’s high school golf teams.
AAGA Co-President Bob Gay and Treasuer Steve Nelson, also the head coach of the North Attleboro High School team, announced the winners during a recent recording of “Inside Look.”
Gay and Nelson were asked if the recipients knew they were scholarship winners at the time of the recording.

The winner of a third scholarship, the John “Buck” Renner scholarship, is Bryce Mackintosh from Bishop Feehan High School.
