NORTH ATTLEBORO - The Century Game between Attleboro and North Attleboro was originally scheduled to be played at the Blue Bombardiers' Tozier-Cassidy Field on Thanksgiving Day 2020.
COVID-19 forced administrators from both schools to not only cancel the game but also the entire fall football season.
When the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association approved football for March and April, school officials set aside this Saturday to commemorate the first football game between the two schools in November of 1921.
North TV asked Attleboro cheerleader captains Rylea Bogacz, Sarah Delpozzo and Morgan Young, along with color guard captain Peyton Crowe and senior drum major Allison Morin if the Century Game not being played on Thanksgiving Day takes away from the event.
