NORTH ATTLEBORO - "Big Red Bucks” will soon be coming to a store near you.
The town council supported the recommendation of the finance subcommittee by unanimously approving the measure intended to help town businesses recover from the impact of COVID.
Town Manager Michael Borg proposed using $25 thousand in federal funds to support businesses by rewarding patrons a $5 gift card when they spend $50 at a participating business.
Borg addressed some of the council’s concerns before Wednesday night’s vote.
