Cady shuts down Sharon to earn POTW honors

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The North TV sports crew was busy last week with three games in four days.

We kicked off our annual King Philip spring sports week with baseball on Monday (April 6) when the host Warriors whipped Sharon 8-0.

The KP gymnasium was the site of our game on Tuesday. The Warriors needed four sets to top Taunton 3-1 in boys' volleyball.

We were scheduled to bring viewers the Attleboro at North girls’ lacrosse showdown on Wednesday but the game was postponed to a later date.

The week wrapped at the Plainville Athletic Fields. King Philip improved to 6-0 on the season with a 3-0 shutout of nonleague opponent Apponequet.

Our Player of the Week comes from Monday’s baseball game.

KP’s Jacoby Cady went the distance in picking up the win. The senior, wearing number 15, recorded eight strikeouts and limited Sharon to only three hits to be named our Player of the Week.

Click the video below to watch some of the highlights from his dominating performance.

Jacoby will receive a copy of the game against Sharon on a USB drive and a Player of the Week t-shirt in King Philip gold.

We’ll announce our Player of the Week for this week next week at this time.
