NORTH ATTLEBORO - The town’s Health Director and Public Health Nurse AnneMarie Fleming announced Wednesday morning that the beaches at Falls and Whitings ponds had to be closed due to high bacteria counts.
The town will post on its website and Facebook page when the counts are down and the beaches are able to open again.
The latest test was done Monday during the heavy rains the area experienced, so the result was not unexpected.
