Ledgemont CC steps up after Norton CC leaves AAGA rotation

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The 66th edition of the Attleboro Area Golf Association championship, affectionally known as “The City Open” is welcoming a new course this year.

Ledgemont Country Club, in Seekonk, joined Wentworth Hills Golf Club in hosting the Friday, July 30 qualifying round.

Ledgemont will also host the third AND fourth rounds of the association's championship on August 15 and 16

Foxboro Country Club will host the opening round of the four-day tournament on Thursday, August 13 and Wentworth will host the second day on Friday, August 14.

The owners of Norton Country Club, the Jan Companies, notified the AAGA committee over the winter they were no longer interested being a part of the tournament.

AAGA Co-Presidents Bobby Beach and Bob Gay discussed the addition of Ledgemont to the rotation during a recording of “Inside Look” recently in North TV's green studio.
