Scanlon's DNA exception bill signed into law

BOSTON - A bill filed by Representative Adam Scanlon was signed into law by Massachusetts Governor Maura Healy last Friday after a brief ceremony.

Scanlon, who represents North Attleboro and parts of Attleboro and Mansfield, filed the bill at the request of a constituent who was sexually assaulted almost three decades ago.

The representative visited North TV’s black studio on Monday to discuss the new law.
