Thousands turn out for North parade, fireworks

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The sound of sirens filled the downtown area the morning of Saturday, July 18.

The annual Kids Day Firetruck parade started at Mason Field, made its way to Chestnut Street, through the downtown, east to Landry Avenue before ending at the middle school, home of the annual Kids Day carnival.

This year’s parade was followed by marchers celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday.

The Kids Day fireworks the night before were accompanied for the first time by music from the North Attleboro Community Band.
