NORTH ATTLEBORO - Repairs to two of the town's oldest public buildings are listed in the capital improvement projects for the upcoming fiscal year.
The majority of capital projects scheduled for the current fiscal year were put on hold due to the uncertainty of state aid and the towns finances as a result of COVID-19.
With a light at the end of the dark coronavirus tunnel appearing in the distance, Town Manager Michael Borg is preparing a number of projects for the new year that begins on July 1.
A new roof for the former high school, now Community School, and windows for the Richards Memorial Library are among the projects scheduled in FY22.
He explained the town's current financial situation and shared the details of the projects with members of the finance subcommittee during the board’s hybrid meeting Tuesday night in the lower level conference room at town hall.
