PLAINVILLE - North TV is paying tribute to a Plainville legend with the premiere of a special program premiering Christmas Day.
Long before there was a North TV, Bruce Bumpus was a one-man band producing coverage of meetings of Plainville government boards and committees, as well as specials about the Lions Club’s annual fall festival and the recreation department’s Winter Festival.
Bumpus passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on December 30, 2018.
The control room in Plainville’s new town hall was dedicated to him a month earlier. It’s appropriate that meetings are now and will always be produced in the Bruce Bumpus Media Room.
“Bruce Bumpus: A Plainville Legend” will premiere Christmas Day on North TV’s Plainville Channel: Comcast channel 8.
The special can also be streamed by becoming a North TV Insider, a free service to North Attleboro and Plainville cable subscribers.
Subscriptions are available for residents without cable television and people living outside of North Attleboro and Plainville for only $2.99 a month.
