ATTLEBORO - The North TV sports team was busy last week with four basketball games all LIVE on our Community Channel.
North Attleboro beat King Philip in girls' play on Tuesday (January 13) 46-38 in our first game of the week.
Bishop Feehan’s McIntyre Gymnasium was the site of Wednesday’s girls’ game against Needham. The Shamrocks defeated the previously unbeaten Rockets 53-41 to improve to 7-and-2 on the season.
We were at North Attleboro’s Pickering Gymnasium Friday night for boys’ action. Oliver Ames rolled over the Red Rocketeers 57-37, North’s fifth straight loss.
The week ended Sunday with a return to the Feehan gym. The Attleboro boys pulled out an 83-80 win in a back and forth game.
It’s not often our Player of the Week comes from a game when our local team loses, but that is the case this week. Brody Bumilla scored 39 points in the loss to the Blue Bombardiers. The 6’9” senior, wearing number 34, also dominated on the boards with 18 rebounds to be named our Player of the Week.
Brody will receive a copy of the game against Attleboro on a USB drive and a Player of the Week t-shirt in Bishop Feehan green.
We’ll announce our Player of the Week from this week’s games next week at this time.
