PLAINVILLE - The select board bid farewell to one fire chief and welcomed a new one during Monday’s semi-monthly meeting at town hall.
The retirements of Fire Chief Richard Ball and Lt. David Motta were announced and, later, Robert E. Skinner, Jr. was officially appointed the new chief.
Skinner has been serving as the interim chief during Ball's absence.
