Changes to North charter discussed

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The town council discussed possible changes to the town charter during their meeting Monday night.

The charter was adopted back on April 2, 2019 changing the form of government from a board of selectmen and representative town meeting to the current government headed by a town manager and council.

Voters overwhelmingly approved the move with yes votes totaling 2,190 to the 1,160 no votes – a margin of 65 to 35 percent.

More more than five years later, some officials believe changes should be made.
