NORTH ATTLEBORO - Halloween arrived here days before the rest of the country celebrated the ghoulish holiday.
The Downtown Associates of North Attleborough hosted children of all ages last Sunday at Veterans Park in front of town hall. The event featured games, local vendors and was capped off with a costume parade and contest, complete with prizes for the winners, at the town gazebo.
There was a chill in the air Thursday night when the Community School Parent Teachers Organization hosted “Trunk or Treat” in the Henry McDeed Circle in front of the school on South Washington Street. The two-hour event featured refreshments, music, games, raffles and fun.
Teachers passed out candy from the trunks of their cars lined up around the perimeter of the circle waiting for students to visit with greetings of “Trick or Treat” or “Happy Halloween" while holding out their bags in hopes of receiving their favorite sweet.
