NORTH ATTLEBORO - The town's Health Director and Public Health Nurse AnneMarie Fleming notified North TV Tuesday that the Falls and Whitings ponds have reopened after they were closed a week ago Wednesday due to high bacteria counts.
The test that forced officials to close the ponds for recreational use was conducted August 3 during that day’s heavy rains, likely causing the high counts.
