NORTH ATTLEBORO - Tragedy was averted on the northeast side of town Tuesday morning when firefighters rescued an elderly woman from a two-alarm fire in her mobile home.
The home at 35 Woodchip Square in the Rustic Pines Estate Mobile Home Park was reported about 6:40 a.m.
Fire officials first thought the call was for a medical emergeny after the woman pressed a medical alert button, according to North Attleboro Fire Chief Chris Coleman.
North TV spoke to the chief a few hours after the blaze.
