NORTH ATTLEBORO - The high school is in need of a new principal after the school committee approved Peter Haviland to replace Michelle McKeon as the district's assistant superintendent.
McKeon was hired by the Mansfield school committee in February to replace superintendent Teresa Murphy starting July 1st.
Murphy announced during the school year she will be retiring.
North Attleboro superintendent John Antonucci made the recommendation during a special virtual meeting of the school committee Friday morning.
