WRENTHAM - The third week in April is always vacation time for area schools. As a result, the North TV sports crew only had two games on our schedule, but it was a doubleheader.
We were at King Philip’s Macktaz Field for boys’ lacrosse action on Patriots Day at 10 a.m. Bishop Feehan was up by only one at the half, but exploded in the second to double the Warriors 18-9.
King Philip turned the tables in the girls’ game that followed at 2 p.m., as the Warriors beat Feehan 11-7.
Our Player of the Week comes from the boys’ game.
Bishop Feehan’s Dexter Izzo, number-22, a sophomore from North Attleboro, scored six goals to pace the Shamrocks.
Izzo will receive a copy of the Patriots’ Day game on a USB drive and a Player of the Week t-shirt in Bishop Feehan green.
