WRENTHAM - North TV’s winter sports season concluded with a pair of state tournament games at King Philip on February 26.
The basketball doubleheader started with the KP girls mauling Malden 68-28.
The Warriors had a much tougher time in the nightcap with the boys pulling out a 67-64 win over Braintree.
KP trailed by two with time running out when junior forward Tommy Kilroy, number three, hit a three to win it.
Kilroy finished with 17 points, none bigger than the three-pointer. That was more than enough to earn our Player of the Week. He will receive a DVD copy of that game and a Player of the Week t-shirt in King Philip gold.
