ATTLEBORO - The coronavirus pandemic has not only taking its toll on small businesses, it’s also negatively impacting nonprofits.
Local community leaders have stepped up in an effort to raise $1.5 million to ensure local nonprofits are able to provide emergency assistance to families and individuals who have been hurt financially. The Greater Attleboro Stronger Together Fund will benefit nonprofit organizations in Attleboro, Dighton Mansfield, North Attleboro, Norton and Rehoboth.
Among the groups the fund will help are:
- The Arc of Bristol County (based in Attleboro)
- Attleboro Area Interfaith Collaborative (the Food n’ Friends meals program)
- Attleboro Literacy Center
- Attleboro YMCA
- Cupboard of Kindness in Norton
- Hebron Food Pantry (in Attleboro)
- Hockomock Area YMCA (Mansfield and North Attleboro)
- Lenore’s Food Pantry (North Attleboro)
- New Hope (based in Attleboro)
- St. Vincent de Paul Society (three local chapters)
- Triboro Youth Theatre (Attleboro)
