Test 3

Malakidis skates his way to POTW

ATTLEBORO - Our first Player of the Week for 2025 is actually a player for multiple weeks.

We covered a number of games since our last newscast on December 20.

North Attleboro shut out Brookline 3-0 on the ice of Attleboro’s New England Sports Center on December 16.

Taunton’s Bristol-Plymouth Regional was the site of our game two night’s later, a 46-33 Tri-County loss on the wrestling mat.

The Red Rocketeers' Pickering Gymnasium hosted the next game on December 20, the home team routed Stoughton 71-31in girls' basketball.

Girls’ hockey was on the schedule the next afternoon. King Philip slipped past Martha’s Vineyard 2-1 at the Foxboro Sports Center.

We only had one game Christmas week. Medfield beat King Philip 72-67 in boys’ basketball on Friday, December 27.

We were back at NAHS last Friday for our first game of the new year. The Rocketeers, unfortunately, were bullied by the Bulldogs of Canton 55-36.

Our Player of the Week for those games is North Attleboro’s Anthony Malakidis. The Sophomore, wearing number 12, scored two goals to lead the Red Rocketeers to their nonleague win over Brookline.

Anthony will receive a copy of the December 16 game on a USB drive and a North TV Player of the Week t-shirt in North Attleboro red. We’ll announce our Player of the Week for this week next week at this time.
