PLAINVILLE - Malia Strong, two words that best described the life of Malia Jusczyk.
The 14-year-old Plainville teenager passed away on June 14 after a heroic battle against relapsed neuroblastoma.
Her mom Megan posted on Facebook Saturday that Malia’s last words before being intubated and sedated a week earlier were, “I’ve got this.”
The quote was typical of the spirit she had in her fight against the disease.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Malia’s honor to the For Kids’ Sake Foundation at forkidssakefoundation.org, a nonprofit organization set up by the Jusczyk’s to help more children crush cancer.
Visiting hours will be held at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home in Attleboro on June 27 from 2 to 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28 at St. Martha’s Church, in Plainville.
Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetary and Arboretum, 565 Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro.
