NAED keeps rate stable

NORTH ATTLEBORO - As early as September, financial experts were predicting the cost of electricity would soar as much as 64% this winter due to a rise in the cost of natural gas, the main source of power for electric companies in the northeastern United States.

With the exception of this weekend, winter temperatures have been mild. Residents are hoping for more of the same this month and next.

North Attleboro residents, however, haven’t experienced an increase in their monthly electric bill like their neighbors in area communities.

It was one of the first topics North TV discussed with North Attleborough Electric General Manager Peter Schiffman during a recent recording of the winter edition of “The North Attleborough Electric Show.”
