NORTON - A number of local residents were at TPC Boston over the Labor Day weekend for the return of professional golf.
The LPGA Tour was back in New England for the first time since 1997 for the inaugural FM Championship.
Officials reported ticket sales were among the highest on the women’s tour this year with a number of local residents also serving as volunteers, among them Plainville Select Board Member Jeff Johnson.
Haeran Ryu clinched the title Sunday night with a par on the first hole of a sudden death playoff to defeat Jin Young Ko.

FM, a commercial property insurance company out of Johnston, Rhode Island, and the LPGA Tour announced on Sunday that the 2025 FM Championship will return to TPC Boston.
The dates will be made public in the coming months.
