Falls custodian help save man's life

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Superintendent of Schools John Antonucci recognized two custodians at the Falls Elementary School for their actions in helping to save the life of a contractor who suffered a heart attack while installing a new boiler at the school last month.

Charlie Jette and Mike Shaw assisted firefighter/paramedic Tyler Normandin, who was at the school to oversee the August 20 installation, in saving the employee of the Wilkinson company who did not have a pulse.

Jette and Shaw immediately went for the automated external defibrillator in the school’s office and Jette helped by applying the AED pads for Normandin.
