NORTH ATTLEBORO - Nominations are now being accepted by the North Attleboro High School Alumni Association for its awards program designed to recognize the achievements of graduates, staff and long-time supporters of the town’s schools.
The selection committee, comprised of board members, past award recipients, and “at-large” community advisors, is accepting nominations through October 18. in five categories.
The awards include the Joseph W. Martin, Jr. Distinguished Alumni Award, named after the NAHS graduate of 1902 who served as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. The award will recognize the outstanding professional, personal and civic achievements of the men and women graduates of NAHS.
The Young Alumni Awards will be presented to graduates of the past 20 yars who have distinguished themselves by their achievements at an early age.
The Excellence in Education Educator Award recognizes current or past staff members of all North Attleboro schools.
he association will also present the Honorary Alumni Award to non-graduates of NAHS who have made positive and substantive contributions to the school and its students.
The association will also present the Community Impact Award to recognize accomplishments by a NAHS graduate in and commitment to the North Attleboro community.

Submissions must include the candidate’s name, address, contact information and a brief narrative describing the individual’s qualifications. Supporting information, if available, should be included.
The deadline is October 18.
