NORTH ATTLEBORO - A rodeo in the southwest corner of the Emerald Square Mall parking lot turned into a mad dash for eight bulls scheduled to be among the star attractions of the Sunday matinee.
The bulls escaped a pen, crashed through a fence, bolted across Route 1 and made their way across the Attleboro line.
Seven of the bulls were apprehended within hours, while the eighth was caught more than 24 hours later near the mall.
Fortunately, no one and none of the animals were injured.
Organizers of the rodeo and Emerald Square Mall management appeared before the North Attleboro Special Events Working Group on Tuesday.
