North's McKeon named Mansfield superintendent

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Assistant Superintendent Michelle McKeon has been hired as the new superintendent of Mansfield public schools.

Our partners at The Sun Chronicle reported McKeon was the unanimous choice of the school committee when they met Monday night.

She will replace Superintendent Teresa Murphy, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

School committee members interviewed three finalists Saturday and discussed the candidates Modnay night before voting.

McKeon will be formally introduced at the committee’s meeting Tuesday at Mansfield town hall.

She was chosen over East Bridgewater Superintendent Elizabeth Legault and Middleboro Superintendent Carolyn Lyons.
