Council approves naming building for Lenore Paquin

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The town’s new Health and Human Services Complex will be named in honor of Lenore Paquin after the town council approved a measure during their semi-monthly meeting Monday night.

Paquin served as the town’s public health nurse for 27 years.

Her most enduring legacy is Lenore’s Pantry, which she founded in 1978.

Stocked initially from her own home, the pantry began by serving approximately three dozen families.

Today, it supports more than 120 households each month and has operated as a cornerstone of compassion in town for nearly half a century.

John Donahue, the chair of the town’s naming advisory committee, spoke in favor of the measure.
