NORTH ATTLEBORO - Did you know food scraps makes up 30% of the solid waste you dispose each year?
As part of the North Attleboro solid waste department’s Reduce, Reuse, Recycle initiative your food scraps can be composted by dropping them off at the solid waste department’s recycling center at 777 Mount Hope Street.
The department is providing free kitchen scrap buckets to the first 150 residents who sign up for the program.
North TV explained the details of the new program when we visited Solid Waste Director Laura Munson on Wednesday.
