NORTH ATTLEBORO - Mother Nature hasn’t been good to the area over the last couple of months.
Less than four weeks after a tornado touched down in North Attleboro, another hit on Wednesday. Fortunately, there was little damage.
Rain from a Monday storm, however, caused significant damage as 4.89 inches of rain fell in a few hours causing issues at an approximate 200 homes.
At least one was declared uninhabitable.
Town Manager Michael Borg, DPW Director Mark Hollowell, Fire Chief Chris Colemand and NAED General Manager Peter Schiffman held a news conference on Tuesday attended by all Boston and Providence broadcast stations and, of course, North TV.

Borg declared a state of emergency in North Attleboro.
Gov. Maura Healey visited North Attleboro shortly after the town’s press conference, met with town officials and toured some of the areas damaged shortly after meeting with Leominster officials.
The governor declared a state of emergency on Tuesday night.
