NORTH ATTLEBORO - The North TV news set will be the site of three candidate forums this coming week in advance of the North Attleboro and Plainville town elections.
The five candidates seeking three three-year terms on the North Attleboro school committee will square on Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m. Those candidates are incumbent Tasha Buzzell, Keith LaPointe, Meagan Lee, Charles Peters and Aaron Whirl.
The two candidates seeking Plainville’s one three-year seat available on the King Philip school committee will answer questions the following night, Tuesday, March 26 at 6:30. Incumbent Bruce Cates is being challenged by Chris Brenneis in that race.
The final forum will feature the two candidates hoping to fill the one three-year seat expiring on Plainville’s select board. Incumbent Jeff Johnson and former select board member Stanley Widak, Jr. will answer questions beginning at 7:15 p.m.
North TV Executive Director Peter Gay will moderate the three forums and ask all questions.
Monday’s forum will be live on North TV's Community and Education channels and also stream live on the northtv.net website.
Tuesday’s forums will be live on North TV's Plainville Channel and will also stream live on that same website.
In addition to the three forums, interviews of candidates in all three races will run on the station's Government and Plainville channels beginning Monday.
All of the election specials may be streamed on the North TV website, a free service to all local residents.
Plainville's election night results for the April 1 election will begin at 8:15 on the Plainville Channel.
North Attleboro's election night results for the April 2 election will run at 8:30 p.m. on the Government Channel.
