NORTH ATTLEBORO - It’s been said a low turnout is a sign residents are happy with the direction of their community.
Resident apparently feel town officials are doing a great job, as only 8.14 percent of registered voters cast ballots in Tuesday's annual town election. In another sign North Attleboro residents are happy with officials, every incumbent on the ballot was reelected.
TOWN COUNCIL
Thirteen candidates were seeking the nine seats two-year seats on the town council and it was a great day for incumbents.

Incumbent Justin Pare - 1,281 (earns the council presidency)
Incumbent John Simmons - 1,150 votes (earns the council vice presidency)
Incumbent Andrea Slobogan - 1,080

SCHOOL COMMITTEE
Six candidates ran for two three-year seats on the school committee. Former Allen Avenue School principal and the district's IT director James Gideon Gaudette topped the field, incumbent Sarah Stone finished second.
