PLAINVILLE - Motorists making their way through the town's center will soon have to keep one eye on the road and the other on the speedometer after select board members approved a 25-mph speed limit on South Street (Route 1A) from Lincoln Ave. to the south and the town library to the north.
After a lengthy discussion with Police Chief James Floyd, members approved the reduced speed limit in an effort to make the road much safer to motorists and pedestrians.
