Plainville officials not happy with changes to casino funding

PLAINVILLE - Town Manager Brian Noble and members of the select board voiced frustration with state leaders when Sen. Rebecca Rausch attended the board’s meeting Monday night.

The FY27 state budget included deductions in the funding the town receives as the host community for Plainridge Park Casino.

The cut resulted in a loss of $130,000 or 14% of local aid, a small reduction for larger communities but a major hit to a small community like Plainville.
