PLAINVILLE - Ask any resident of any community what bothers them the most about their city or town and they’ll most likely say the condition of the roads.
What most residents don't know is the Chapter 90 money municipalities receive from the state’s 24 cents per gallon gasoline tax isn’t keeping up with the increased cost of paving.
Roads were one of the many topics discussed when Plainville Select Board Chair Jeff Johnson and Assistant Town Manager/Finance Director Julie Hebert visited the North TV studio recently for a recording of “The Chairman’s Report.”
Johnson provided an update on the status of upgrades to the busy intersecton of Routes 106 and 152.
