NORTH ATTLEBORO - The North TV sports team was in action for four games over the past seven days.
Community Field was the site of last Friday's Mansfield vs. North Attleboro football game, a come-from-behind 31-29 double overtime win for the Hornets. Tyler DeMattio, moved from quarterback to running back, rushed for one touchdown, recovered a Mansfield fumble for another and kicked a field goal to be named our North TV Player of the Game.
Mansfield pulled out a 1-nil victory over King Philip Monday at Macktaz Field in boys’ soccer. Senior defender Sean McCarthy, number-2, limited the Hornets from setting up its offense throughout the afternoon to be named our North TV Player of the Game.
North Attleboro won a marathon five set volleyball match over Foxboro on Tuesday night. Senior setter Katherine McHoul, number-10, was the floor leader for the Red Rocketeers to be named our North TV Player of the Game.
King Philip had better success at Macktaz Field Wednesday afternoon as the Warriors routed Sharon 5-1 in girls' soccer. Junior midfielder Ella Pisani, number-4, scored one goal and assisted on three of the other four King Philip goals to be named our North TV Player of the Game.
Tyler, Sean, Katherine and Ella will each receive personalized DVD’s of their games and Player of the Game t-shirts in their school colors.
