NORTH ATTLEBORO - The North TV sports crew covered four games from April 13 through April 21.
A week ago Wednesday, King Philip lost a 3-1 decision to Millis in boys' volleyball. Carson Mitteness, number-23, was a standout for the Warriors with five kills to be named our North TV Player of the Game.
Our crew was at Bishop Feehan's Beach Field the next day for the Shamrocks baseball game against Dighton-Rehoboth. The Shamrocks bats were alive, flying past the visiting Falcons 9-2. Left fielder Sean Stephenson, drove in two of Feehan's nine runs with a home run in the fourth inning. He also smacked a double in the third to be named our North TV Player of the Game.
Feehan's Walsh Softball Field was the site of a Patriots Day matinee. The Shamrocks crushed King Philip in non-league play 12-3. The Warriors Sarah Cullen reached based three times to be named our King Philip North TV Player of the Game and Haley Coupal also reached base three times, scoring three runs, one on a two-run homer to be named our Bishop Feehan North TV Player of the Game.
Carson, Sean, Sarah, and Haley will each receive personalized DVDs of their games, Player of the Game t-shirts in their school colors and a North TV sports bag.
