NORTH ATTLEBORO - The final full week of the fall sports season was the busiest yet for the North TV sports crew with six games in five days.
We were in the Kenneth Pickering Gymnasium Monday, October 20 for Oliver Ames' 3-0 shutout of North Attleboro.
King Philip didn’t fare much better when they travelled to Attleboro on Wednesday. The Warriors were downed in straight sets, 3-0, on the volleyball court.
We brought viewers a soccer doubleheader on Thursday at North’s Raymond E. Beaupre, Jr. Field. The girls opened play at 5 p.m. with the Red Rocketeers stopping Stoughton 2-nil. The Foxboro boys nipped North 2-1 in the nightcap at 7 p.m.
We brought local football fans a pair of games on Friday.
Mansfield ran past North Attleboro 24-14 at Beaupre, while King Philip mauled Milford 34-0 at the Warriors' Macktaz Field.
Our Player of the Week comes from the first of Thursday’s soccer doubleheader.
Junior forward Ava Pratt, wearing number-18, scored both of the Red Rocketeers goals in the 2-nil win, North’s fifth win of the season.
