Public health nurse assures residents concerned about coronavirus

North Attleboro – A teacher and student at St. Raphael’s Academy in Pawtucket have tested positive for coronavirus and a third person was awaiting a test result the Rhode Island Department of Health announced this week.

The teacher and student visited Italy recently as part of a trip organized by the school.

Public health officials in Massachusetts announced last week they have been monitoring more than 600 people under self-quarantine in the state looking for the possible COVID-19 virus, the medical term for coronavirus.

North Attleboro’s Public Health Nurse Anne Marie Fleming talked about the virus during a recording of this week’s episode of “Inside Look.”

“It has been declared a public health emergency by the United States, but that’s more for preparedness not for people to get scared or concerned that there is something going on that people haven’t told us,” Fleming told North TV’s Meghan Miller.
