ATTLEBORO - While most area residents have been isolated at home, doctors, nurses and the staff that care for patients at Sturdy Memorial Hospital have been leaving their homes and loved ones to care for patients affected with the coronavirus, in addition to the hundreds of other ailments they treat on a normal day.
The area’s first responders said thank you Tuesday evening by parading around the hospital numerous times.
The "Light Up Sturdy parade was organized by Attleboro Firefighters Local 848 and included the city’ police department as well as fire and police vehicles from Foxboro, North Attleboro, Rehoboth, Seekonk, Wrentham and more.
Compared to what they’ve been dealing with inside the hospital, members of Sturdy's staff had no problem standing in the rain and heavy winds to acknowledge the parade’s participants.
The staff and members of the North TV board of directors thank the staff at Sturdy Memorial Hospital and our first responders.
