NORTH ATTLEBORO - North TV’s fall sports schedule kicked off last Friday night with Bishop Feehan’s 24-10 football win over North Attleboro at Community Field. Nick Yanchuk, number-22, was a workhorse for the Shamrocks, rushing for 219 yards on 24 carries, including touchdown runs of 18 and 37 yards to be named the North TV Player of the Game.
The North TV sports team was at Macktaz Field the next night for live coverage of King Philipp’s 35-22 over Catholic Conference power Boston College High. Running back Ryan Gately, number-6, had a big night rushing for 119 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries to be named the North TV Player of the Game.
North TV was at North Attleboro’s Beaupre Field on Monday for live coverage of the Red Rocketeers 3-nil shutout of Sharon in girls’ soccer. Steph McKenna, number-8, and Emma Pratt, number-20 each had a goal and an assist to be named the North TV Co-Players of the Game.
King Philip was the site of Wednesday's 3-nil King Philip shutout of Stoughton in boys’ soccer live on North TV. Oliver Blackburn, number-20, scored one of KP’s goals and assisted on another to be named the North TV Player of the Game.
The final game of the busy week was held in Franklin where Tri-County blanked Old Colony 3-nil live on North TV. Angelo DeCaires, number-12, scored all three goals for the Cougars. The hat trick earned him our North TV Player of the Game honors.
Nick, Ryan, Steph, Emma, Oliver and Angelo will each receive personalized DVD’s of their games and Player of the Game tee-shirts in their school colors.
