PLAINVILLE - Officials serving in local governments are always under the microscope and often criticized and mocked on social media.
The line is sometimes blurred when those officials respond.
Are they posting on behalf of the board they’re on or are they writing their own opinions?
It’s difficult to tell.
The North Attleboro town council discussed a social media policy a few years ago when one of their own posted some controversial comments.
The first draft of a social media policy for Plainville’s elected and appointed officials was on the agenda when the select board met Monday night.
