PLAINVILLE - Residents attending a special town meeting Monday night at the Wood School approved $25.6 million to improve water quality and capacity to meet current and future demands.
The new treatment plant will be built at the corner of East Bacon and George streets.
The current plant at Turnpike Lake is now 33-years-old and has run non-stop when demand has been highest.
