PLAINVILLE - More than 100 residents assembled at the Beatrice Wood School Monday night for a special town meeting consisting of 18 articles.
A transfer of $1.8 from free cash to the town’s stabilization account was approved, as was funding for a new well and rezoning of the downtown to encourage development.
The final article, sponsored by the town's select board, which would have allowed a marijuana cultivation plant in the town’s industrial business park was rejected after lengthy debate.
