NORTH ATTLEBORO - A request to give stipends to members of town boards, commissions and committees was rejected by members of the finance committee during their meeting Monday night.
Stipends were eliminated in 2014 in order to reinstate $58,000 in the town budget for crossing guards.
That was four years before passage of a Proposition 2.5 override in 2018.
