NORTH ATTLEBORO - The town's dual tax rate, with a split of 18 percent between business and residential properties, will remain in place in 2022.
The town council, during their biweekly meeting Monday night, voted in favor of maintaining the same split.
The amount paid per $1,000 of assessed value will actually go down from $14.27 to $13.93 for residences and from $17.23 to $17.04 for businesses.
The reduction won’t result in a reduction in revenue, however, as property values rose approximately $17,000 over the last year.
