NORTH ATTLEBORO - Adopting Mass General Law Section 17C, which would potentially allow speed limits in certain areas of town from 30 miles-per-hour to 25, was a key item on the agenda when the town council met Wednesday night at town hall.
The measure came out of last week’s meeting of the bylaw subcommittee. If approved, residents could petition the town to reduce the speed limit in their neighborhoods. The town could then lower the speed without approval of the state.
